We all wish for snow at Christmas—but most of the time, it just doesn’t happen! But you can decorate your window with these sweet, hand-crocheted snowflakes. They can be fitted with a small pocket on the back, so you can also use them as an Advent calendar or gift tag.
For one snowflake, you only need about 15 g of white cotton yarn and a small amount of silver glitter yarn. So it’s also a great project for using up leftover yarn.

When you make your own Christmas tree ornaments, you’ll get into the Christmas spirit long before Christmas. Bells, stars, snowflakes, and angels are very easy to crochet. You can use glitter yarn again, or, if you prefer a simpler look, solid-colored mercerized cotton. This is another great way to use up leftover yarn.

What would Christmas be without angels? These little angel gift tags or putti are also absolutely perfect for using up leftover yarn. Hang them on the Christmas tree, in the window, or on your gift packages!

For me, Christmas with children or grandchildren is always especially wonderful. They can still be truly delighted and immerse themselves in their gifts. Two years ago, my granddaughter received this doll bed with all the trimmings: the bed is built, the bedding is sewn, and the pillows and rug are crocheted. It brought me so much joy, and my grandchildren still play with it today. Every now and then they ask for new bedding and new pillows. Simply a timelessly beautiful and nostalgic gift for little girls.

Giving festively wrapped gifts is an essential part of a traditional Christmas celebration. If you’d like to make the packaging for your presents yourself, I definitely recommend stopping by my store.

Here, I’d like to suggest this little Christmas tree as a beautiful and practical container for chocolates or other small gifts. It’s made of photo cardstock, measures approx. 19 x 20 x 9 cm, and is easy to recreate with a little crafting experience.
