Giving handmade items for Christmas can work out well if you give the right thing. Nobody wants the umpteenth set of potholders. But a few lovely special items will make the recipients’ eyes light up. Here are a few suggestions from me, things I’ve already knitted or crocheted for my grandchildren. All the gifts were very well received.
I hope you have lots of fun making them.
Warm regards from Ina
Board game
You can simply roll it up and take it anywhere. Ready to play anytime and washable if needed. The game board and game pieces are crocheted. There’s also a little bag where you can store everything. That way you can quickly pop it into your bag and take it on vacation, on an outing, or to a restaurant. No more boredom.
Hanging storage basket
We crochet the storage basket directly onto a hanger. This makes it portable from room A to room B. The treasures go into the 6 small pockets, and you can also attach all sorts of other things to it. Little girls love storing their hair clips and jewelry in it. It is crocheted from thick cotton and is also washable.
The Ice Princess’s Coat
At our house, it always has to include doll clothes for the granddaughters’ little dolls, too. They wanted a coat like the one the princess always wears in the fairy tale. Here you go, here it is. It is knitted in one piece and has no seams.
