I crocheted the little Mermaid Marina using acrylic yarn from Rico (Rico Baby and Rico Baby Glitz). For the hair, I used mohair yarn. Using this material makes the mermaid cuddly soft. She is about 40 cm tall and can be used as a toy, but also as a decoration in an underwater scene. Chenille wire was worked into the arms and the fishtail so that they are bendable. This lets Marina be displayed in a wide variety of poses.

Kids love role-playing and dressing up. Face masks are a quick way to slip into a role. This owl mask makes it especially easy, since it’s already drawn and colored—all you have to do is print it out. After printing, cut out the mask and attach an elastic cord—and you’re done!
