Color gradients from a ball of yarn are wonderful: knitting or crocheting never gets boring, because you’re always looking forward to the next color. And when it’s finished, it creates especially beautiful effects. See for yourself:
Crochet pattern "Endless Blanket"
Here I crocheted a 1500-meter bobbel made of merino wool. For me, that makes a blanket measuring 70 x 70 cm. Ideal for children to play with or for yourself. For a larger blanket, use a bobbel with a greater yardage or use 2 bobbels. The pattern made of relief stitches is distinctive, which makes the blanket a bit thicker.
Doll Clothes "Poncho" in different versions
Here you can see that even small doll items get an especially beautiful look from gradient yarns (sock yarn here). The poncho is simple and straightforward to crochet. There are different versions to choose from.
Fringed Poncho
Gradient yarn also looks great when knitted. Take a look, this is a 6-ply sock yarn with a subtle play of colors. The pattern is very simple; we only knit knit stitches. And to make it look pretty, we knot fringes into the edge. A poncho like this is always useful. Just throw it on quickly and you’ll be nice and warm.
