1) These cute little pouches are a dream for fashionistas of all ages. You can turn them into an Advent calendar (e.g. make each pouch 3 times in different colors) or use the pouches individually as keychains, gift tags, gift card pouches, etc. — they also look very decorative on the Christmas tree. The pattern explains in great detail, with lots of pictures and crochet charts, how to conjure up these cute little pouches from leftover yarn.

2) Cute angels — you can easily hide small gifts under the angels’ skirts, and with an LED tea light underneath they glow magically and cozily when it gets dark outside.

3) This very popular Advent calendar is a classic — the little bags, made with the double stitch, are quick to make and are perfect for embroidering with Christmas motifs.

This project might be a bit time-consuming, but you still have plenty of time, and the effort is definitely worth it—because you can use this tea light holder to decorate for both major holidays: Both its shape and color create a festive atmosphere at Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

The tea light holder is made of photo cardstock and measures approximately 18 x 2.5 x 18 cm. With a little crafting experience and practice cutting with a craft knife, it’s very easy to recreate.
