Christmas Gift Ideas

Dear users, dear authors,
If you want to make your own Christmas gifts, it’s about time to get crafting. Do you still need ideas, or do you already know who’s getting what? 

I’ve already given it some thought.

This year, we’ll only have one little something to unwrap under the Christmas tree. The big gift is a 3-day trip to the Allgäu with my kids and grandkids. I’m covering the costs, and the kids are giving me their time.

But I’m already working on the little gifts, and I have all the materials I need ready to go. I have a lot of vacation time in October, so I plan to sit down at my sewing machine and get started.

I’m planning to make pot holders from my stash of jeans, dishcloths, a small tablecloth, and socks. And, just like every year, I’ll need the matching gift bags to go with them. 

I’ve actually had one Christmas gift finished for a long time now: a shawl for my girlfriend. (I didn’t manage to finish it in time for her birthday.) 😿
My boss is getting hand-knitted socks. (Yes, he deserves them 👍)
Then there are headbands with a reflective effect. I’m crocheting the first one right now as a test. Potholders are planned too, made from jeans that I want to bleach with Christmas motifs. We’ll see whether that works out... Oh, and Mom wants cushion covers. I’d like to sew those too, if I can find suitable fabric.
 For the day clinic staff, I wanted to sew a little something this time. I was thinking of token pouches.
