World Children’s Day / Not Just in Thuringia

Dear users, dear authors,
Today is a public holiday in Thuringia, but even without a public holiday, we can still honor World Children’s Day. International World Children’s Day is on June 1, but commemorating children in need and children’s rights on two holidays is always a good idea.

How is this observed in your region? Are there any events for World Children’s Day there? 

There isn’t anything for World Children’s Day where we are. Maybe in the city (Stuttgart and the surrounding area)

If it weren’t for the news, this day would pass me by. Actually, we should always do something for children; unfortunately, in my opinion, they are very neglected when it comes to education/school. 

Here yesterday, groups of children were out and about in the stores handing out flyers on the topic. I got mine from the little octopuses :-)
But what really surprised me was that at the butcher’s shop, the staff wanted to give each of them a slice of meat sausage as a gift, but none of the children accepted it.
