"Painting" with stones: crafting with stones

Dear users, dear authors,
there are some great pictures online that “paint” images using colorful stones. To do this, small, flat stones are glued onto sturdy paper or cardboard, creating enchanting pictures. Have you ever tried this?
If you search Google for “stone art,” you’ll find plenty of examples. 

Dear Josefa, thanks to your suggestion, I took a look at the stone pictures. Yes, it’s amazing what you can create with stones. But just placing stones next to each other isn’t enough. You need imagination, a creative touch, and some artistic skill to turn those flat stones (which you have to find first) into a picture.

If there were more than 24 hours in a day, I’d give it a try. But no chance… Still, thank you for the suggestion.

My grandson is really into stones right now, too. He always has some very special ones in his pants pockets that he’s found. They either end up in his treasure chest or he keeps carrying them around in his pockets. We’ve already painted a few.
