Lots of colorful leftover yarn—who doesn’t have some if they’ve been crafting for a while? More and more keeps accumulating. But what can you make with it? Here are a few suggestions from me:

Knitting Nancy Rug

First we crank out lots of colorful Knitting Nancy cords with an electric Knitting Nancy. Then we thread them into a crocheted grid. Add a border around it, and the rug is finished. The back can be fitted with anti-slip material if needed.





2 Odds-and-Ends Buckets

These are former yogurt containers that we give a new cover. They get a crocheted outfit made from leftover cotton yarn. You can store all kinds of odds and ends in them, and your desk looks tidy. Everything always in its place.



Pencil Roll

But it’s not only very practical for pencils; it’s also great for paintbrushes or crochet hooks. We need lots of colorful leftover cotton yarn.
