Weekend: What are you up to with this unpredictable weather?

Dear users, dear authors,
the weather isn't exactly great, but oh well.
How are you all doing? What are your plans?

Tomorrow I’m planning a quick shopping trip—to pick up some stuff from the drugstore.

Other than that, I’ll be continuing to knit my triangular shawl.

It’s pouring here, but luckily someone invented shopping malls with parking garages—so I was able to do my weekend shopping nice and dry and even stocked up on a good supply of candles. Bring on fall!
Tomorrow evening I’m going out with a friend—good food, lots of chatting—and otherwise I’ll be crocheting, reading, maybe watching a movie—just taking it easy.
Although Sunday’s supposed to be pretty nice, so maybe I’ll go for a little walk too.

I went shopping today with my daughter and grandson today, and when we came out, it was pouring rain. Thankfully, the forecast calls for nice weather on Sunday, because we want to belatedly celebrate our youngest granddaughter’s 13th birthday. She was on vacation with her parents on Rügen that day. I’m especially looking forward to this day, because if my sister is feeling well enough by then, she’ll be coming too—and we’ll finally get to see each other again after more than four years. Because of her illness, she isn’t always able to have visitors or even leave the house.

We’ve been on vacation for over a week now. If it’s dry tomorrow, I’ll have to run the washing machine, and grocery shopping is also on the agenda. It was a great time, despite the bad weather. I did a lot of crocheting and reading and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. Maria

Dear Inge, I especially hope you have a wonderful weekend. I really hope you’ll be able to hug your sister again after four years.

We’re having lovely late-summer weather here—perfect for gardening. I plan to sow some more dill in the greenhouse. And the tomatoes are waiting for me to make ketchup out of them.

Other than that, I’m looking forward to my crafts. I’ll be making myself comfortable in the garden this afternoon with them.

Enjoy your time, put your feet up, and do some crafts—or, like Ina, taste those delicious red tomatoes, sit by the pond, and watch the bees in the grass.

I’ll be enjoying my free time later, but until Monday, it’s back to the stress of work—just the two of us on the late shift with 35 residents. It really isn’t fun anymore.

The weather is changeable—sometimes sunny and warm, sometimes cloudy. Still dry.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. Today’s supposed to be the driest day here, so I’ll be in the garden—weeding a bit, trimming the shrubs, and picking apples. Next Thursday is “Apple Festival” at my mom’s nursing home, and since our little apple tree is bearing plenty of fruit this year, I offered to bake apple muffins.
Tonight I’ll be knitting again; I’m working on the Advent calendars using leftover yarn.

There was a change of plans.
We originally wanted to go shopping,
but that got postponed. Instead, we went to the Palmengarten in Frankfurt again.

Not so great: all the construction sites around and inside the main train station. We couldn’t take our usual subway line because of that.

We were really lucky last night—it was perfect beer garden weather, and we were able to sit outside the whole evening.
This morning, I cut my finger pretty badly, and I’ve been changing the bandage every quarter of an hour ever since. Hopefully this will stop soon—I don’t even dare to crochet right now, because I’d just end up making a mess.

@ Ina, your tomatoes are amazing. You really found the perfect spot for them!!!

We were really lucky with the weather today. 
I went with my mother to an opera performance in Braunschweig, open air on Burgplatz. 
And the sun was shining brilliantly, and it was almost too warm again. It felt really good to finally get outside properly again after that bad bronchitis, which was initially suspected to be pneumonia (but fortunately wasn’t confirmed). 
And the production – Tosca – was also really good and especially captivating in the final act.
