Schnuffel the Little Hedgehog

Such a cute little hedgehog is quick to crochet and makes wonderful fall decor or a small gift.

Summer is almost over, and it’s time for fall decorations. Here’s an idea for your windows.



These colorful fall leaves are made from photo cardstock and tracing paper and are very easy to recreate. They’re about 20 cm in size, so you’ll need at most one sheet of DIN A4 paper for each fall leaf.

You can knit this cute doll overall for dolls of different sizes—from 35 to 46 cm. They look very cuddly and cozy-warm in it. It will delight every doll mommy. Everything is knitted in one piece. First the hood, then the upper part is knitted onto it using RVO, followed directly by the pants. Knitting experience is recommended here.

Fall is chestnut season! Crochet your own chestnuts—and the cute “Flower Child Chestnut” to go with them! It’s about 12 cm tall, and thanks to the built-in wire, it can bend its arms and legs. You’ll only need a tiny bit of yarn, and if you have leftover yarn in the right colors, you can get started right away.


Small chestnuts also serve as decorations on the “Autumn Leaves” egg cozies, along with acorns and leaves in vibrant autumn colors. Here, too, you can work very well with leftover yarn. I crocheted the body of the egg cozies using cotton yarn (125 m / 50 g) and the leaves using sock yarn (400 m / 100 g) with a color gradient.



The “Autumn Leaf” shawl also features the vibrant colors of fall. It’s slightly longer in the back, making it especially popular with those who like a little extra warmth around the lower back. The shawl is made of double crochet and is initially crocheted like a star blanket. Then you work the points.
