Dear users, dear authors,
which yarn / which fabric / which material are you working with right now?

I’m currently working on my cotton.

I’m making some new dish towels—as gifts—and I also need to restock my supply a bit.

I’m still working with colorful acrylic yarn (yellow today) for the temperature blanket, and I also have a few orders for glow-in-the-dark yarn—the kind that glows at night—which is also acrylic. But as soon as I’m done with all that, I’ll be back to working with cotton.

Hi,
right now I’m working with various scraps of gradient yarns (cotton/polyacrylic);
I just finished an infinity scarf in merino (two-color patent stitch).

As for knitting, I’m still working on my jacket and the cotton yarn; I hope that now that it’s getting cooler again, my enthusiasm for knitting will come back too :-) ;-)
I also created a pattern for a toiletry bag based on a video, and I’m in the process of sewing it. Enkele turned 13 on August 20, but she was on vacation with her parents then. Now she wants to celebrate this coming Sunday, and she’ll be getting this toiletry bag because she’s going away with her class for a few days right at the start of the school year. I’ll show you the bag once it’s finished :-)

Best regards, Inge

I’m working on children’s sweaters with various cable patterns. For this, I’m using a yarn made of 85% cotton and 15% kapok.
I had to do some research myself to find out what kapok actually is—here’s the answer:

Kapok fiber is very soft and light, hollow inside, voluminous, and surrounded by a
waxy coating on the outside, which is why it’s very smooth and has a silky sheen
. Kapok fibers weigh only a fraction of what cotton does; they’re the lightest known fibers.

That’s why this yarn goes a very long way, is wonderfully soft, and is perfectly suited for cable patterns.

Today I crocheted a new pincushion using some slightly thicker cotton. It’s my birthday present to myself :‐)

@ursulapetra, that sounds exciting; I’ve never heard of kapok before.🤔

I’m knitting with sock yarn for the market in December, and I’m using the leftovers to make mini socks for Advent calendars.
