Happy weekend: it’s supposed to cool down

It’s finally starting to cool down, and we can breathe a sigh of relief again. I’m really happy about that.

Today we opened all the windows, put the fan in one of them, and blew cool air through the apartment; since then I can breathe again

Yes, it’s getting cooler. Although the temperature wasn’t really the biggest problem—it was always hovering around 28 degrees here, which is pretty normal for summer. But it was so terribly humid, almost unbearable; we’ve been using tons of fans for a long time now. Today we had several short but intense thunderstorms; it got cooler, but it’s still like a laundry room—everything is sticky.
But I think things are slowly getting better… hopefully. We have all the windows and the balcony door wide open, and it’ll stay that way all night (we don’t live on the ground floor, so that’s possible).
So we’ll just keep things as calm as possible, read a lot, crochet a lot—and we’ll be fine. And there’s still quite a bit on my desk that needs to be taken care of.

It keeps raining here. You could almost say it’s defying the weather forecast. It’s impossible to make any outdoor plans.

But it’s still nice and warm—just as summer should be.

We don’t have any plans for this weekend. I discovered a new crochet pattern and will be crocheting. My husband needs some new shorts—so I’ll be doing a little sewing.

Have a wonderful weekend together and make the most of it 

I’m glad it’s getting cooler now (it’s actually pouring rain right now), but I’m also a little annoyed because I’m on vacation next week. The bad weather is throwing a wrench in my plans—I was going to repaint the garage wall, spruce up my garden, and we were going to lay some pavers so we could finally put up our barbecue pavilion. On Tuesday, it’s supposed to be only 13 or 14 degrees, so that’s a 20-degree drop in temperature…
At least the rain is good for nature—and as for me, well… I now have a good “excuse” to sort through my yarn stash and start a new project 😚😉😁 My future daughter-in-law asked me to crochet her a bridal bouquet of roses for the wedding in November. I was really happy about that—I think it’s a great idea on her part.
