Summer-friendly fabrics + yarn

Which types of yarn and fabrics are suitable for summer?

All lightweight cotton-silk blends and viscose fabrics are great summer fabrics, and organza might be a good option too. Fabrics with a high percentage of spandex and polyester are unsuitable, because you’ll sweat buckets ;-) and end up smelling like a skunk :-)

Linen is also a great summer fabric—it feels nice and cool against the skin—but it has one drawback: it wrinkles very easily, and you end up looking like you just got out of bed.

The same goes for wool—mercerized cotton is best when it gets hotter; it’s nice and smooth and cool.
