Felt in the summer?

Is felt suitable for summer?

Why not? You might not need those thick felt slippers, but pretty decorations, baskets, storage baskets, or bags are always a good choice. There are also lovely summery colors available.

I made seat cushions out of leftover felt wool. When it gets cooler in the evenings during the summer, you can sit on them and they protect you from the cold coming up from below. They’ve also come in handy when we play Pasch. The six dice don’t make as much noise on the felt.

I’m felting right now, too.

This week, my grandson introduced me to needle felting. It works great even in warm weather.

Since I don’t distinguish between summer and winter yarn, I can also knit felted shoes in the summer. It’s just a small project that doesn’t make me any warmer than, say, knitting a blanket.
