Craft Patterns for Play Kitchens

Dear users, dear authors,
Is the popularity of patterns for play kitchens new, or has it always been around? I get the impression that it has increased. 

Crocheted food items were one of the main reasons I started crocheting 7 years ago :-) Back then, the selection of patterns was simply much smaller than it is today, especially in German-speaking countries. Today, on the other hand, you can find a suitable pattern for almost anything.
The trend toward sustainable and plastic-free toys, which gained momentum a few years ago, is still clearly evident among many parents and grandparents and is therefore also reflected in this niche. Let’s see how it develops :-)

It’s definitely become more common, and above all, more professional.
At first, there were at least a few fruits—apples, oranges, and so on—but now there are all kinds of pasta shapes, sushi, and who knows what else. I think it’s really great.
