Dear users, dear authors,
here in this thread you’ll find Christmas patterns that can be made using scraps. Have fun with them.

@Authors,
You can each present 2–3 patterns per author here. Don’t forget links, images, info, etc. The patterns must not have been presented in the forum in the past 3 weeks, must have at least 10 sales and a CR of at least 3%.

Oh, and Christmas—the season of love—isn’t quite here yet, but it never hurts to get a head start on Christmas gifts or decorations.

Here are three suggestions for dishcloths or washcloths that are especially perfect for the holiday season. All of them are very easy to knit using just knit and purl stitches. They’re also ideal for using up leftover yarn (cotton or a bamboo-cotton blend), since each cloth requires only about 30 g.

For one of these little snowflakes, you only need about 15 g of white cotton yarn and a small leftover bit of glitter yarn for the edging. The little snowflakes have a small pocket on the back where you can tuck in a Christmas greeting or a small sweet treat. They are great as tree ornaments, window decorations, or gift tags.

You can use the tiniest amounts of leftover yarn for these Christmas crochet appliqués . Turn them into refrigerator magnets, keychains, Christmas tree decorations, or glue them onto greeting cards. They also look great as scatter decorations on a festively set Christmas table.

And here is another table decoration that is perfect for using up leftover yarn: For the Christmas egg cozies , you need leftovers in the Christmas colors white, green, and red. Santa, snowman, and angel make such a cute decoration that you can use them even when there are no eggs underneath.

Lots of colorful leftover yarn can become something very special. How about a

Colorful Advent Calendar

Here we need 24 different colors. From them, we crochet 24 little bags, which we can decorate either hanging up or on a festively decorated Christmas tray. The star numbers are included as a printable template. After Christmas, you can fill the little bags with small surprises and, for example, place one on each child’s plate at a children’s birthday party. The children’s eyes will light up right away!

Snowflake Gift Tag

You can use it in a Christmas arrangement or hang it on a gift as a decorative tag. It is crocheted and stiffened so that it keeps its shape. You can use it again every year.

Winter Cape for Small Dolls

Our little dolls are looking forward to Christmas too—and get in the mood with a stylish winter cape. The cape is knitted in one piece. Dressed like this, you can wonderfully act out the beautiful fairy tales about the princess searching for her Prince Charming.

You can crochet these little bells for the Christmas tree from leftover yarn.

Depending on the yarn’s yardage and hook size, the bells will turn out different sizes.

Knitted motifs can be used for many useful and decorative items.

With the pattern, you knit a square of approx. 22–23 cm per side using approx. 30 g of cotton yarn with 170 m per 50 g (depending on how tightly or loosely you knit and what yarn you use, the size and amount of material may vary).
With this size, you can use all my motif cloths as a doily, dishcloth, cleaning cloth, potholder, cuddle cloth, comforter cloth, pacifier cloth and so on.

Click here and you’ll go directly to the pattern page for the railroad motif “Locomotive for real guys”

If you are experienced at knitting and have a bit of your own creativity, you can create many other things with my motifs for dishcloths / paw cloths as well.
With several motifs in a row, you get a table runner.
With several motifs in a row and side by side, you can knit a runner, a centerpiece cloth, Christmas tablecloth, a pillow cover, and much more.

There are no limits to your imagination. Go for it!

For the knitting itself, you only need a few skills:
cast on stitches, bind off stitches, and knit purl and knit stitches.
The pattern describes row by row and stitch by stitch the order in which you knit the knit and purl stitches. You also receive a chart to print out.
All my motif cloths are also suitable for beginners.

Mona (Froschoma_Mona) wishes you lots of joy knitting

These Christmas tree ornaments are a wonderful way to use up your scrap construction paper. They’re so easy to make that they’re perfect for craft beginners and for crafting with kids.

The ornaments are made of construction paper and measure about 8.5 cm.

You can crochet these Christmas stars quickly and easily. They’re very versatile—for example, as gift tags, tree ornaments, or appliqués.
