Crocheting Slip Stitches

Dear users, dear authors,
would you like to share something about slip stitches?

Slip stitches are great for finishing rounds.
They’re also used when you want the first stitch of a row or round to start off-center.
Plus, you can use slip stitches to create edgings.

You can also use slip stitches to crochet things like wrist warmers—they end up looking like they’re knitted.... Please don’t ask me exactly how to do that right now. I have a pattern for it lying around, but I haven’t gotten around to trying it out yet 🙈
Maybe it’ll be my next project—time to crochet something again 😊

There’s a technique called Bosnian crochet where you work exclusively with slip stitches.

That’s definitely what you meant. 

A slip stitch is created by pulling the yarn through the stitch and directly through the loop on the crochet hook. 
With this method, you only crochet one row at a time, though I find that the slip stitches aren’t as easy to spot in the next row.
The result, however, is really striking and also relatively stretchy.
