Empty jam jars get repurposed into candy jars at my house. Then the lid or the jar is crocheted around, depending on the occasion or season. Now you can give homemade sweets or other treats in your jar. And once they’ve been eaten, the jar can still be used as decoration, for example by putting a battery-operated string of lights or an LED tea light inside.
