Who has (not) bought any yarn / fabric / materials?

Dear users, dear authors,
have you bought any yarn / fabric / materials, or have you managed to resist?

I only bought about 2.5 m of batting, and otherwise gave every fabric store a wide berth

I’ve stayed strong. I was actually planning to go shopping with my little girl today. Thankfully, she canceled, because our closets are still very full. 

Well, I could write something about immense bravery right now, but I took part in the swap and am still sitting on the woolly birthday gifts, so it was really easy.

Actually, I was planning to “downsize” my stash. …Well, sort of.
So I sold some yarn at the flea market and then immediately invested the “proceeds,” so to speak. … 

I’ve already got plans for that yarn 🙈—a Fair Isle sweater.
And hopefully the yarn for the one currently on my needles will arrive in the next few days. One contrasting color isn’t enough.... but since the trip to my place is so long and the two skeins (maybe one would’ve been enough) don’t feel so lonely on their own, three other colors quickly hopped into the package too 😁
At least I’m not buying yarn as “randomly” anymore. I already have my favorites... Right now, there are two “types” of yarn… that I can’t bring myself to part with yet, or that I’m stocking up on. One is hand-dyed sock yarn, and the other is 100% New Zealand wool, which I’m stocking up on.... 

I guess I left something out—I actually bought various supplies for a new project, including glow-in-the-dark yarn. But since I bought that specifically for a pattern, it counts as a “recurring expense,” right? :-)

Oh Steffi, what beautiful, soft wools. I went out of my way to look at the picture in full size. You can really tell that it’s high-quality wool—perfect for a Fair Isle sweater. The colors will definitely look great when knitted into a pattern.

Veronika, no, supplies for new projects are tools you need. Nothing you fell in love with on the spot and just had to buy.

I didn’t have to buy anything, because the swap package came back home yesterday. Here’s my small but lovely haul. It’s all fine yarn, which I prefer right now. I’m sure I’ll like the thicker yarns again in the fall, but right now I’m especially happy about the fine pink yarn.
