Dressing dolls is especially fun for me. Maybe you feel the same way. My granddaughters can’t get enough for their little ones. And of course, my doll children also get a new outfit every now and then.

I designed this little dress for different sizes—from 35 to 46 cm. It’s very easy to knit—in the round with no seam. The beautiful pattern is a real eye-catcher.

Doll babies will also be delighted with these cute romper pants with feet attached. This pattern describes two sizes—from 43 to 55 cm, so you can dress all dolls, even small newborn human babies.

I have some knitted doll shoes for you with 2 different cuffs. 

They are knitted with a set of double-pointed needles. The edging around the sole with slip stitches is optional. 

Lots of little dolls live at my house. My grandchildren and I really enjoy playing with them. They are always happy when there are new things we can dress them in. Once they’re freshly dressed, we act out scenes from fairy tales or real life. Since it’s summer now, today I have summer items to crochet for you.

My Favorite Little Summer Dress

It’s very easy to crochet from just a few grams of crochet thread.



Beachwear (6-piece)

Now that it’s warm, we also like acting out beach scenes. Of course, for that you need pretty swimwear, blankets, bags, and so on.

When we play together at the beach or go out for ice cream, we do need to wear a little more. Still, we love things colorful, airy, and fun.

My favorites are the little dress-up dolls, too. As a child, I always wanted some and never got them. But now I have a whole collection that I dress and play with extensively together with my granddaughters.
I’d like to show you a few of the clothing items here:


4 dresses with a waterfall neckline
You can crochet the dress with the waterfall neckline in many variations. You’ll find 4 of them in the crochet pattern: a basic dress without any extra frills, an elegant dress with a little bow, a dress with fringe at the hem and cut-outs at the waist, and a girly dress with a pleated skirt. By using different yarns and colors and combining the individual designs, you can crochet even more variations.

Lingerie set (6 pieces) for dress-up dolls
My granddaughters were always complaining that their little dolls didn’t wear any underwear under their dresses. That’s why I designed this lingerie set, which I crocheted from fine filet crochet thread. It consists of 2 different bras, 2 different panties, a baby doll top, and a negligee. All pieces can be mixed and matched.

And of course the little dolls need to play “princess,” too! This magnificent princess dress is perfect for that. The overdress is crocheted from glitter yarn, and the underskirt is made from glitter fabric that is sewn by hand underneath the overdress. Don’t worry, it’s very easy and can be done even by inexperienced sewists. And if you use a non-fraying foil jersey or something similar, you won’t need to hem it either.

Paper dolls have proven especially practical when traveling: They take up hardly any space and can even be given a new wardrobe on the go.



The Mila doll is approx. 25.6 cm tall. It just needs to be printed out, glued onto sturdier paper, and cut out. The short pattern explains how to draw the clothes for it yourself.
