I’m working on donations for the Kindertafel; I’ve sewn some themed pillows, and right now my embroidery machine is doing more work than I am :-))
In between, I also keep knitting on my cardigan

Best regards, Inge

I finished my second loop this morning. You can now wear the two loops separately or together. I’m happy with how they turned out.

Now I have to decide on one of the yarns I have with me...... Probably a large shawl in natural and dark blue.

That’s what I *worked on* today :-) or rather, my embroidery machine did

Best regards, Inge

I’m still working on the temperature blanket, but I’m already up to orange—summer is coming!
And as for the summer sweater, I’ve already finished the back; I’m a third of the way through the front, but it won’t take much longer since it won’t have sleeves.

I’m still working on the finishing touches for two gnomes in pots. I’ll take them with me to the breakfast invitation tomorrow.

I’m reworking a pattern.
If I have enough patience, it’ll turn into a thin scarf.

Tidying up the workshop…organizing the yarn stash…finishing up UFOs…writing patterns…petting the cat…crocheting a new dress…everything has its time…but first, breakfast…there are wild strawberries…but I have to go pick them first ;)

I’m still crocheting the second version of this tulip curtain. Since the yarn is very thin, it’s taking a while. But the curtain needs to be a little wider for my window, and unfortunately, this first version turned out to be too narrow in the end.

I embroidered a few more pictures yesterday and today.

You’re making some really lovely things there… I like the wild strawberries best! What a treat.

Kind regards, Ina

We hosted a CAL last year. The jacket is called “Zopfloch.”
I didn’t have the right yarn back then, so I’m currently crocheting it again—this time with variegated yarn. I like it much better this way.

The photo shows the version from back then

Best regards, Birgit

I think the jacket is really nice, and the color is great, too, Birgit.😊
I’d definitely take it just like that.

You’ve all been hard at work again, and some lovely things have come out of it.
I really like such delicate pieces. Hats off to your perseverance.

I’m still working on the crocheted blanket. It’s “growing.” I’ll be able to show it to you soon.

The jacket is great. Not my color, but I like the pattern and cut.

My last coffee of the day by the lake.

And I’ll keep knitting on my sweater today. Tomorrow I’m heading back home....

So, I embroidered something else for gardening enthusiasts; it’s also going into the box for the children’s food bank.

This week I’ve only managed to knit a few rows (20 stitches each): On Monday, I didn’t get home from the meeting until 10 p.m., and yesterday I had absolutely no energy left for knitting: Last week I came down with sciatica again (while weeding!), the pain kept getting worse, and yesterday I could barely move. Fortunately, I’m feeling better today (probably also thanks to an increased dose of pain medication), and I have an MRI scheduled for tomorrow. I hope I can find a reasonably pain-free position tonight:… At least I can already put some food on the table myself again and do a little work on the computer! To top it all off, I’ve been without a fridge since Friday, which means I’m only removing the tape sealing the door in an emergency… I hope to be reasonably fit again by the weekend so I can celebrate my grandson’s birthday with him.

Oh, that doesn’t sound good at all.

In any case, get well soon—I hope you feel better very quickly, or that you can get the help you need.

A broken fridge in the summer—not good at all.

I haven’t been getting much knitting done lately either—just two rows on my sweater today.

Since coming back from vacation, I’ve been working all day, and in the evenings it’s time to water the garden. Everything is so dry, and there’s no rain 💦 in sight. So I’m lugging around quite a few watering cans.

Get well soon, Christina! I hope you’re back on your feet soon.🌺

I’m currently working on a wedding cake for my nephew and his wife. Now I can’t find the right yarn color for the roses... I’ll try my luck at Wollhimmel tomorrow.

Get well soon, sciatica is really awful. I hope you’ll be able to move around well again soon

Best wishes, Inge

I’ve been working on a very complex doll; I’ve been holed up in my studio for the past four weeks, and tomorrow we’ll finally be taking the product photos so I can publish the pattern soon. Here’s a little sneak peek:

Get well soon, Christina.
So you’re on a forced break, and without a fridge to boot, with these temperatures. Oh dear.
That’s not good at all.
We’re all keeping our fingers crossed that you’ll be back on your feet soon.

Dear Christina,

we’re all keeping our fingers crossed for you that your streak of bad luck has finally run its course. Only good things can come from here on out!

I’ve been re-taking the photos for my doll patterns for weeks now. It’s a lot of work. I still have some of the doll items, but others have gone missing—probably ended up with my granddaughters.

I started with the patterns that are just for a dress. Those are easy enough to recreate myself for the new photos. While I was at it, I also took a look at the patterns (some of which are several years old) and, lo and behold, they needed some work. It’s amazing how much you’ve improved over time. So the old patterns aren’t just getting new photos—they’re getting updated patterns, too. In that sense, it’s not a waste of time; it’ll benefit all future buyers.

All these revisions will probably keep me busy all summer. Any new ideas are strictly off-limits. In between all the doll stuff, I’m tending to my garden and also need to do some sewing again. The colorful sunshade on my grandchildren’s playhouse has torn. Now I want to sew something new and sturdier, and I’ll add grommets too.

I wish everyone a relaxing evening.
Warm regards, Ina

That sounds like work, Ina. 😄

I bought some yarn today at Wollhimmel for the rose decorations on the wedding cake.

I’m in the process of shortening some old jeans so I can wear them as 3/4-length pants—long ones are just way too warm for me right now. As my youngest daughter always used to say when she was a kid, “I’m making myself short-sleeved pants” :-)))))))

Best regards, Inge

🤣🤣 Yeah, that makes sense! I’m also just walking around in shorts at home right now—it’s really nice and warm.

Get well soon, Christina!

At home, I always walk around in a linen dress. It’s nice and breezy :-)

Like Ina, I’m also updating my doll dress patterns, taking new photos, and revising the patterns.
But I also had to create something new: a little alien with his UFO:
