Finally the weekend: what are you doing?

Since I’ve decided to get more active, I think I’ll go for a jog (or a run... depending on how long I can keep it up :D) right now. 
Tonight we’re heading to the spa for 2–3 hours.

Tomorrow we’re heading to the outdoor pool, and Sunday is still completely up in the air. Let’s see what the next few days bring. 
There are still a few flowers on the patio that have been waiting quite a while to be planted... Maybe I’ll put them out of their misery :) 

In any case, I’m looking forward to the weekend—it’s shaping up to be pretty nice so far.

The weather is great—sunny, dry, and not too hot—perfect for the south-facing balcony, where you’d usually get roasted in the summer. I’ll be taking turns sitting outside in the sun with a book or my crochet supplies, and doing “a little housework” in between.
First things first, I’ve already cleared the way into my garage. The branches of the beech trees on the neighbor’s property are growing over—it looks really nice, but some of them had started hanging down too far and were scraping the car’s roof, so I grabbed my pruning shears and cleared a slightly higher passageway again.
A few years ago, our property manager wrote a letter to the neighbor demanding that the trees be pruned. One day I came home to find gardeners clambering around on the garage roof, snipping everything away like crazy—I was absolutely horrified. When I asked what was going on, I was told that the garage user had complained because her car no longer fit inside. Huh? I’m the one who uses the garage, and of course my car isn’t taller than the garage door!
Since then, I’ve had an agreement with the property manager: he leaves the neighbors alone, and I trim whatever bothers me myself.

I’m enjoying... knitting and relaxing.

I’m cutting out fabric for some patterned pillows that I’d like to sew this weekend—I found something nice online, but I’m not giving anything away just yet :-) That reminds me, I also have a book on patterned pillows in my closet—let’s see what else I can find in there :-)

I’m planning to sleep in. I’ll be making the most of my free time crocheting (a blanket) and making cards for the start of school (for the swap).
The weather’s supposed to be nice, so I’ll be spending time on my “Balkonia.”
Then I still have my diamond painting coasters to finish, plus two birthday cards using that technique. So I definitely won’t be bored. If anything, I won’t have enough free time.

I have a question for Inge. What exactly is a “motif pillow book”?

I finished my first sock today.
Tomorrow I’ll start on the second one. I really like how it turned out. I knitted my last pair a little too loosely.
