April Fools' Day 2023

When my brother was still pretty little, I once tied a 2-euro coin to a string with Scotch tape, and as soon as he tried to pick it up, I’d keep pulling it away, of course. After a while, I took pity on him and let him reach it and take it off. Of course, the little guy was over the moon that he’d found soooo much money. I don’t think I ever told him that I’d taken it from his own wallet beforehand. ;)

Other than that, I thought a Google April Fools’ prank from a few years ago was pretty funny. When you went to the route planner on Google Maps, the map turned into the map from a computer role-playing game. That’s somehow stuck in my head all these years. 

A short video was making the rounds on WhatsApp yesterday showing penguins that suddenly can fly and are heading toward warmth and the jungle. I thought it was pretty cute.
I followed a pattern here to crochet a praying mantis; a friend of mine liked it so much that I made one for him, too. He told his wife that I was bringing live animals over. When I arrived, she was totally upset at first. 🤣🤣
