Our No. 4—our youngest daughter—is starting school!
And the little one is starting kindergarten—or rather, since he’ll only be 2 years and 2 months old, he’ll be in the “nest” group at our daycare.
No. 3 is already starting 4th grade, the big one (No. 2) is heading into 10th grade (hopefully 😂), and the oldest is starting her third semester of law school (and she’s already a fully trained legal assistant [with her high school diploma and an accelerated program, she finished her training after 1 year and 9 months…crazy]. She works 2.5 days a week at Dad’s law firm).
For us, the big adventure begins this fall for my daughter. She’s finished her first 8 years of school and is moving on to a vocational school for small animal care. But that’s only possible with boarding, because it’s way too far away from us.
And she’s really excited—about the animals at school, about boarding, and about the adventure. She’s never been the type to be very clingy or fearful. No tree too tall, no path too far, and Mom, keep your distance. Her favorite word as a little kid was “lalleine”—roughly translated as “I can do it myself.”
But I still have another little treasure. My oldest is a real homebody. The exact opposite.
He’s in his second year of high school and just takes it easy day to day. He’s a good student, and his motto is simply “don’t let it stress him out.”
Oh, it sounds like you’ve got a lot going on!
Things are pretty “boring” on that front for us right now.
Leo has been at his new kindergarten since November and, thankfully, is feeling right at home. The next big milestone won’t be until 2026, when he starts school. So it’s still a while away :)
Our little one is starting kindergarten on April 3. He’s been with a child care provider until now. I’m curious to see how he does in kindergarten.
As for my oldest—she’s actually in 6th grade—I hope she’ll soon be able to go back to school without any worries. We’ve had major problems there for the past three years. 😔
And my boyfriend’s oldest is finishing 10th grade this year. After that, she’ll be attending a vocational high school for the next three years. 🙄
