First Communion / Confirmation / Weddings / Baptisms

Dear users, dear authors,
how are things shaping up this year for First Communion, Confirmation, and Youth Initiation? Do any of you have a wedding or a baptism coming up in your family?

We actually have two First Communions—just eight days apart. Since my two granddaughters belong to different parishes, the two celebrations (fortunately) don’t fall on the same day. 

We won’t have a Confirmation until next year—that’s when my youngest granddaughter will have hers, and then all the grandchildren will be done. As for weddings, I do have grandchildren of marriageable age, but they have all the time in the world, so it doesn’t look like anything’s happening anytime soon. :-) As far as I’m concerned, they don’t have to get married either, because a marriage certificate is definitely not a guarantee of anything.

I’m expecting two church weddings among my friends that were postponed during the COVID years. I’ve never been to a church wedding before. My outfit for the church has been sitting around half-sewn as a UFO for ages^^ But I think I’ll still manage to finish it in time.
