Sock yarn is a rather thin yarn; I wouldn’t generally classify it as “TV-friendly.” You really have to look closely so you don’t lose or skip a stitch. But of course, there are also crafts made with sock yarn that can make a TV evening more enjoyable. One such project, for example, is my crocheted doll ponchos. They have a simple shape, and we only use single crochet stitches. This is easy to do in good lighting while watching a mystery show.
