Easter Decorations

After browsing a few blogs this morning and seeing so many Easter decorations already popping up everywhere, I decided to do a little crafting myself this morning.



I made two Easter bunny mobiles. At first, I planned to hang them outside. That’s why I cut out my designs from empty milk cartons.



I then painted the whole thing twice with acrylic paint and set it on the radiator to dry.



Then I added a few dots to the eggs and a little white tail to each bunny.



And just like that, my mobile was done. 






I’m really happy with my mobile.

Have you decorated your Easter tree yet? We’ve had such a storm here the last few days that I haven’t dared to hang up my eggs yet. I’m going to wait a little while longer.

I haven’t done anything for Easter yet—how much time do I have left? 🤣 No, luckily I still have plenty of decorations; I just need to put them up.

Great upcycling project.

Today I cut up a Tetra Pak and gave it a try with some old jeans. Here’s the next mobile I made 



I sewed the denim fabric on using a straight stitch on both sides. 







I wonder if it’ll hold up to the rain if I hang it outside? I still have a few cut-out designs, and I’ll probably finish them up and give them a try in the next few days. 

You can also just iron fabric onto a Tetra Pak. The thin film of the Tetra Pak then acts as glue. I tried it with an old dish towel—it works great! They’re hanging outside and have weathered the first heavy rain and wind just fine!

Oh, that sounds great—I’ll have to try it.

I had the iron set to the highest heat but without steam.
I’m glad it worked out!
