Sew-in Laundry Labels / Labeling Laundry

How do you label your laundry with a name? Do you use sew-in labels or laundry markers?

For daycare, you always have to label all of your child’s belongings with their name. It would take forever to do this with name tags, and using fabric markers would look “messy.” Plus, they wouldn’t work on all fabrics.

That’s why my daughter-in-law uses iron-on name labels. You can order them online with the child’s name. They’re simply ironed onto the clothes and stick perfectly; of course, they’re also machine-washable. So it’s an ideal and modern solution.

When my grandsons went to kindergarten, I embroidered labels with their names and addresses and sewed them securely into their things, including their backpacks.
