When I crochet stuffed animals, I like to use different materials. They need to be soft and sturdy so they’re fun to cuddle and can also withstand intense “cuddle attacks.”

If you have leftover plush yarn, fine chenille yarn, and cotton, you can crochet the cute
Alpaca Pamina . To help you see the stitches better in the plush yarn, I recommend using a thin filet crochet thread there as a carry-along thread.I crocheted the muzzle, ears, and hooves with chenille. The saddle is made from leftover cotton.

I also used thin chenille yarn for
Hedgehog Ingo. For the spines, I used eyelash yarn. After all, Ingo is a stuffed animal and should be suitable for cuddling, not prickly!

And for
Cuddly Cat Mauzi, the thin chenille yarn was used as well, specifically for the head, paws, and tail. The body is again made from plush yarn and cotton yarn. Since the body is crocheted only with double crochet stitches, you can easily see where to insert the hook even when using plush yarn.
