Quick Valentine’s Day Projects Using Scraps / Leftover Yarn / Fabric Scraps

For the two cute little bears in the Valentine’s heart you only need a tiny bit of yarn in gray and red. With this, you can surprise a loved one on Valentine’s Day and show them your bond.
Using the materials listed, the heart will measure about 11 x 11 cm. You can give it as a tag on a small gift—or just because.



The heart-shaped  door wreath with doves is also a great project for Valentine’s Day and can be made from leftover yarn: a very personal gift for all lovers, engaged couples, married couples...




And here’s something for everyone who feels the cold: The  heart pillow in popcorn stitch isn’t just decorative, but also very useful. You can place a small grain pillow inside it; after heating it in the microwave for a few minutes, it radiates healthy, long-lasting warmth.

This craft project is ideal for using up leftover photo cardstock. You can decide for yourself how long you want to work on this project, and choose any number of garlands as well as adjust their length to your liking.



In my example, all five garlands are each about 80 cm long.

These two washcloths or dishcloths can be quickly knitted from about 30–35 grams of cotton or a cotton-bamboo blend. It’s a very special way to tell a loved one that you care about them. It’s sure to put a smile on the recipient’s face :-)

Hearts are probably the classic Valentine’s Day motif. I always think it’s nice when they’re useful, too. My stuffed hearts can be used not only as decorations but also, for example, as keychains, bag charms, or scented sachets in your closet. I have a scented sachet like this in my closet, too. Every now and then I spritz it with my favorite perfume, and then it keeps my closet smelling wonderful for a long time. Maybe that’s an idea for you, too?
