Upcycling Knitted and Crocheted Tops / Upcycling Wool Sweaters

Dear users, dear authors,
What do you do with old wool sweaters / knitted and crocheted tops?

It really depends on the material. Some items can simply be unraveled and reworked, while others are only good for stuffing teddy bears and the like.
Back when my father-in-law’s favorite cardigan was getting worn thin at the elbows, I sewed leather patches onto them so he could keep wearing it.

So far, I’ve only turned one sweater into a pillow.
