You’re always soooo hard-working—it really makes me feel guilty!

Veronika, that really didn’t have to be, what am I supposed to do? I can barely walk at the moment anyway, so going for a walk isn’t an option. Just staring at the walls or getting square eyes from watching TV isn’t my thing either, so I’m doing what brings me joy: handicrafts. That way, at least the day is nicely filled without me getting bored. My husband is busy with the taxes, because we have an appointment tomorrow. :-( In the past, it was the robber barons who took your money; today, the whole thing is called the tax office :-) ;-)

Dear Inge, looking at that pattern draft, this is definitely a project for experienced sewers. There are quite a lot of individual pieces. But when I look at the teddy, I can see that you really do need all of them.

I hope you have lots of fun designing, sewing, and creating your new sitting teddy.

Thanks, Ina, BUT sewing the teddy isn’t that hard at all, because all the pattern pieces have registration marks—you just have to put them together correctly, and then it’ll fit right and turn into a teddy bear instead of a *monster* ;-) :-)
I’ve already sewn some of the pieces together, like the head; the body is pinned together and will be sewn this afternoon.

Do you actually shave the muzzle on the ones with longer fur, or do you leave it completely fluffy?

I shave the muzzle when the fur is too bushy and long; otherwise it doesn’t look nice, because real bears don’t have long fuzzy hairs around their muzzle either.
