Crochet—all the rage? Myboshi hats and stuff

I heard today that crocheting is supposed to be totally on trend
ever since the Myboshi hats came out.

I took a look—they even have a hat generator.

I also checked out their press section
apparently they’ve been around for a few years.

Somehow this trend has passed me by so far. Well

do you know about it, or did you already know about it?

Did you really not notice that? It was all over the press.
But I’m a bit of a sleepyhead when it comes to trends too.
That’s true, the beanie generator is cute.

I’ve actually been thinking about getting a hat for winter. I mean, for myself.
But it would have to be one where I can fit my hair without it getting flattened or statically charged.
Because my hair is slowly approaching the bottom of my spine :) Well, at least it does when I pull the wavy parts apart. Otherwise, it just curls back up. It took me a while to get it that way :) And it’ll have to fit under the hat, or at least go underneath it. I’m not a fan of itchy stuff, as I’ve mentioned several times before. And a hat over a ponytail shouldn’t look weird either.
I’ll have to see if I can find a hat style that works. But no pom-pom.

I'm also active on another forum about a completely different topic, and there, if your very first post contains advertising for another site, the mods will point out that that's not such a good idea. I mean, Crazypatterns is a platform for selling patterns, so I find it a bit odd when someone advertises patterns somewhere else.

But anyway, I don't think the mods here are that strict. Still, it can definitely be a problem in forums if you show up with promotional links. In some forums that are very strict about that, your account can be banned right away.

But anyway, I'm only telling you this so you know and can react accordingly if necessary.
I personally just had a look at Himbeerspucker's patterns too, and I think they're really nice.

I think someone’s drifted away from the actual topic of this thread :-D Who was that? Hats are always in fashion, one kind or another. You have to keep warm in winter, especially your head. You can either buy a hat for 20+ euros or crochet or knit one yourself for 5+ euros. If you knit or crochet it yourself, you save money, you can design the hat yourself, and you can even show off a bit (sorry) :-) AND in most cases, you’ll get lots of compliments on something you made yourself!!
