First Craft Project of 2023

Hey everyone!
What new projects have you started?
I’m breaking new ground with the yarn I’m working on right now.
It’s the kind that varies in thickness.
We’ll see if it turns into a poncho or a sweater for me 😉—in any case, I’m knitting RVO in stockinette stitch.

Yarn with varying thicknesses is really interesting. For one thing, I find it exciting to figure out which needle size to choose—and to see how it turns out after knitting.

I’m curious to see how your yarn works out and what the colors look like in the end.

  My first project this year was another pair of wrist warmers. I used yarn that had been sitting in my closet for 5 years. Wrist warmers knit up pretty quickly, so I finished them in just one day. Unfortunately, I haven’t taken any pictures yet. 

I’m currently trying out some new patterns for a project. I can’t show it yet.

I started this temperature blanket right on time on January 1st with an unexpectedly mild yellowish-green shade.
