I love making beautiful motifs by hand—and in different techniques. Tapestry crochet, double-face knitting, or very simple knitting with just knit and purl stitches. There’s something for everyone :-) As an example, I’m presenting the “Katzenliebe” cloth here, which you can use as a washcloth, dishcloth, or potholder depending on the yarn you use.

If you’re looking for pretty, colorful decor for a child’s room, a conservatory, or the garden, this cushion cover might bring you joy. It is made from many individual hexagons. There are no limits to your color design. The hexagons are crocheted together and buttons are sewn on. That way, you can unbutton it and wash it when needed.

Oh, and if you like the pattern and the way it’s made, you could also crochet a blanket from the hexagons. Add a pretty border around it and you’re done—a custom and unique blanket.

The Rainbow Fairy of course, wears a dress in all the colors of the rainbow. I used gradient yarn with glitter here, but you can also crochet this beautifully using lots of small bits of leftover yarn.


And the Kasperl puppet has to be as colorful as possible, too! Here, too, I crocheted with gradient yarn, but you can certainly use leftover yarn for this as well.
