When it comes to doll clothes, I like to use different materials:

For this
princess dress for small dolls, fabric is combined with crocheted elements. The outer dress is crocheted. I used glitter yarn for it and crocheted around the hems with fur yarn or sponge yarn. The underskirt made from glittery fabric is then simply sewn to the waist from the inside. You don’t need any special sewing skills for this, because the underskirt is just a rectangle that is gathered at the top. If you use foil jersey, you don’t need to hem the fabric either.

This striped dress also combines different materials: The dress itself is crocheted from two types of cotton yarn (white and purple on the left, burgundy and burgundy with glitter on the right). The hem is edged with plush yarn. With a pointed cap and a “fur” cape, the whole thing becomes a Christmas costume for the little doll.

For the
beach chair, which you can make in different sizes, you need a cardboard box that is crocheted around. The size of the finished beach chair then depends on the size of the box. You can attach a small beach chair to a door wreath together with other decorative elements; a larger one can be used for little dolls to relax in.
