When crocheting in front of the TV, you don’t want to have to count too much or pay close attention to patterns and color changes. The fruit coasters you see here fall into this category, since they’re made by crocheting simple circles with regular increases. There’s a small hole in the center of each coaster that a straw fits through. This way, you can also use them outdoors as glass covers to keep insects from falling into your drink.
If you crochet the coasters a bit larger (just add a few more rounds), you can also use them as pot holders.
