Happy St. Nicholas Day to all of you. What are your plans?

Thanks, Josefa. I wish the same to you and everyone else here on the forum, but for me, this day is just like any other—my grandchildren are all grown up except for one who’s still in school. Sticki is working on a gift for her right now; she’ll get it a little later since she knew Grandma was sick.

Are you feeling better yet?

Yes, Josefa, I’m feeling better again—just still really tired at times, but the cough is gone and so is that nasty sore throat, thank God. I’m not exactly fit as a fiddle yet, but I’m getting there :-) Now my “sandwich daughter” has it, and the eldest is also feeling a bit under the weather. But I couldn’t have infected my “sandwich daughter,” because she lives about 160 km away and we only talked on the phone.

I’ve finished sewing my first boot. Just need to fill it with a few little treats, then it’ll be hung on his door.

Yeah, without an Advent calendar, I would’ve forgotten about St. Nicholas Day too, but when I went to take out the trash, there were still two chocolate St. Nicholas figures sitting right outside our door. We have such lovely neighbors!
Nothing special going on here—it’s exercise time right now, and the physical therapist is with my husband. I ordered a little more yarn I was missing for a bigger project; I want to start crocheting the temperature blanket on January 1st.
