Thanks, Josefa, but my first Sunday of Advent is going to be a bummer... My husband had to be rushed to the hospital today—they suspect a pulmonary embolism. I’m completely exhausted, and I’ve lost all my enthusiasm for now.
Other than that, have a wonderful weekend and a lovely First Sunday of Advent. I’m still finishing up the decorations, continuing to knit socks, and will probably bake a cake again tomorrow.
The house is decorated, the candles are lit, and I’m going to cook something delicious... Dear Inge, I hope your husband gets better soon!
Wishing you all a wonderful Advent season anyway...
Love, Birgit
Dear Inge,
I wish your husband all the very best and all the strength in the world! A pulmonary embolism is really no laughing matter.
I also wish you lots of strength and patience for the days ahead.
Other than that, I wish everyone a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the Advent season.
Dear Inge,
All the best to your husband! I hope everything works out well for you both. I also wish everyone else a wonderful first Advent weekend. I made the Advent wreath today, and tomorrow I’ll continue decorating. There won’t be quite as many lights— at least the electric string lights will stay in the closet (except on the Christmas tree at Christmas—that’s a must!)
Dear Inge,
I hope your husband gets well soon, and I wish you lots of strength and patience 🤗😘
We’re invited to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s place in Schleswig tomorrow for a kale dinner.
Wishing you all a wonderful First Sunday of Advent
Best wishes,
Margitta
I hope you all had a lovely First Sunday of Advent and are now slowly getting into the Christmas spirit. We had visitors—children and grandchildren—everything was decorated for Christmas, and we had a wonderful time together.
Dear Inge, your husband decorated your window so beautifully. And now he’s in the hospital. BUT at least he’s in the hospital. The tests there will soon shed light on the cause and treatment. Until then, we have to be patient and stay calm. I wish him a speedy recovery and you and your family lots of hope and strength.
