I'm afraid I'm stuck

Hi everyone, maybe someone would be kind enough to help me. I got some knitting patterns from Alan Dart, but I’m having trouble understanding his knitting terms. I already have quite a few English translations, but unfortunately not all of them are included. Does anyone have experience with this type of knitting? Warm regards to all you crafters from Erika, the Eifel Pearl
