Not really—we just wear whatever we feel comfortable in, and when we’re at our daughter’s, we don’t wear anything fancy either. They have a dog, and despite his size (he’s a Kuvasz), he thinks he’s a little lap dog and always wants to sit on your lap, so even there, we go for something casual rather than fancy—it would be a shame to ruin our clothes.
No, it’s not that important to us either—feeling comfortable is what matters most. We’re not going to any big celebrations or restaurants; we’re staying home, and only family is coming to visit, so nothing formal.
Well, Christmas should be something special. The clothes I wear every day stay in the closet on Christmas. It doesn’t have to be uncomfortable or stuffy, just not the usual stuff. I like to wear something with glitter then. Even a terrible Christmas sweater, for all I care. The main thing is that you feel comfortable.
It doesn’t have to be a full-blown gala. “Feeling comfortable” really sums it up.
We’re both on our own, but I’ll still put on my beloved Christmas sweater.
Even when we’re invited over to my parents’ for dinner, regular, comfortable clothes are perfectly fine.
Except for New Year’s Eve—then it’s okay to go for some glitter or that “little black dress.”
I’ll probably dress up for the get-together at our place with a large group (5–7 people). It’s a welcome opportunity for me. But for watching a movie with children’s punch while sitting alone on the couch on another Christmas holiday, everyday, cozy clothes will do just fine.
