Thank you—I wish you the same!
We’re having guests over tomorrow evening. Since my husband doesn’t leave the house anymore, anyone who wants to see him has to come to us. The temperature is just right for a combination of raclette and hot stone—great, not much work and always very cozy!
And on Sunday, there’ll be plenty of time for tea, pastries, and crafts. I love these relaxed days—they really recharge my batteries.
Of course, I’m planning to sleep in; I have the weekend off, so I’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast with no rush, and do some crafts that I feel like doing (I also have a crochet order coming up for a coworker for St. Nicholas Day).
On Sunday, there’s an Oktoberfest dance. We’ll see if I go with my parents. Relaxation is, of course, important to me too with my stressful job, since a lot of people are sick right now, and there have been new COVID-19 cases at the nursing home again. We need to be careful.
I hope you’re all still healthy, and to those who’ve been affected, I wish you a speedy recovery.
Stay just the way you are, because that’s what makes our community here on the CP Forum so special.
Lots of love from me
@Veronika, that looks totally delicious and relaxing—just the way it should be 👍🧶☕
Thanks, wishing you and everyone else a lovely weekend too!
I don’t have many plans yet.
Well, tomorrow morning we’re going to pick Leo up from Grandma and Grandpa’s and have breakfast there; after that everything is open.
Unfortunately, the weather forecast here isn’t looking too great.
Thank you! I also wish everyone here a relaxing weekend. I’ll be sewing a Secret Santa gift tomorrow because in the sewing forum I’m active in, we always do a Secret Santa exchange on St. Nicholas Day, and I still have some work to do for that. Other than that, I’ll just be relaxing and seeing what else needs to be done.
I, too, wish everyone a wonderful weekend. Unfortunately, mine won’t be very relaxing, since my husband has been in the hospital for a week with heart problems. This has really turned our lives upside down, and right now we don’t know what the future holds. I’d really like him to go to an inpatient rehab program, but I’m not sure if there’s a spot available or if our health insurance will cover it…
First of all, I wish everyone who’s feeling under the weather a speedy recovery — including your husband, dear Christina.
I hope you all have a relaxing, wonderful weekend with plenty of time for the good things in life.
I’ll continue recovering from my flu this weekend and will still be sleeping a lot during the day. At least I’ve started knitting again, but I’m not quite in the mood for it yet. It just takes time, and I’m giving myself that time.
Thank you. I also wish everyone a wonderful and relaxing weekend.
Since the weather here isn’t great and it keeps raining on and off, I’ll be spending most of the weekend doing crafts.
Maybe I’ll take a short walk when it’s dry for a bit.
I’m already getting ready for Christmas and still have quite a few gifts to crochet and knit.
Tomorrow morning I’ll bake an apple cake and take most of it to the office on Monday. But tomorrow afternoon I’ll have a little taste with some hot chocolate or coffee. :-)
I also have a commission to crochet a few little mice for a dear colleague.
So, after all the stress at work, I’m finally looking forward to a relaxed and quiet weekend doing everything I enjoy.
@Christina: I hope your husband gets well soon and that he can start rehab soon.
@Monika: I hope you continue to recover well from the flu.
Warm regards to everyone here, and stay healthy or get well soon
Marina
Dear Christina,
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out well for you and your husband. When it comes to the decisions we hope for as family members, we always need a little luck and someone on our side.
Dear Monika,
I wish you and me continued good health. I’ve already made it through two weeks, and things are slowly getting better. During the first week, we slept a lot during the day and were in bed by 8 p.m. in the evenings.
Now my throat just feels scratchy, and the “frog” won’t come out. But overall, we’re satisfied. Our immune systems are still working hard, and we’re supporting them. We can’t let impatience get the better of us. I’m going to go eat some fresh fruit right now....
I wish everyone a wonderful weekend.
Warm regards from Ina
I wish you all a relaxing rest of your Sunday, and to anyone who’s sick, a speedy recovery. We just came back from a kale dinner with my so-called father-in-law (my late mother-in-law’s longtime partner) to celebrate his 91st birthday with family and friends, and we’re now on our way home.
