Would you like to crochet a few pretty
doll dresses this weekend? You can crochet a wonderful collection from leftover yarn, and these little dresses are much prettier and more individual than store-bought ones. The doll’s mommy can choose the color, and if she can already crochet a little, she might even be able to help herself.

A
princess dress can look this different, depending on which material you use. All the dresses are crocheted using the same pattern. The underskirt is made from a fabric scrap and sewn in place at the waist. But don’t worry: no special sewing skills, or even a sewing machine, are required.

This
off-the-shoulder peacock dress can also be worn by a princess. There is a matching headpiece and a fan. The peacock eyes at the hem are edged with eyelash yarn. But that is only one round each time, so you can still recognize the stitches.

And here is another example of how different a dress can look when it is crocheted from the same pattern but with different yarn: The
striped dress on the left is crocheted with purple and natural white yarn, so the stripes are clearly visible as a contrast. A jaunty little hat, a fur cape, and a matching bag complete the outfit. On the right, the dress becomes a festive dress for the Christmas season. Here the stripes are worked tone-on-tone with red yarn and red glitter yarn. Of course, the cape matches it too. With a Santa hat, the little doll becomes Mrs. Claus.
