These leggings for toddlers from 1.5 years old are easy to knit in front of the TV. They are knitted in one piece from top to bottom, always in rounds, so they’re very simple. You only need to pay a little attention at the gusset and at the top when starting the waistband.

The leggings are designed to fit for a long time. At first, the leg cuffs at the bottom are folded up; later they fit just right. My granddaughters were still wearing these pants at age 3.

The yarn I used has the weight of regular sock yarn. So if you like knitting with sock yarn, that works here too.

For me, a cozy evening in front of the TV always includes some crafting along with a good movie. It must not be too complicated; the pattern should be simple, and the yarn can preferably be thicker too. Here I have 2 suggestions for you. I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them.

Fringe Poncho
We only knit knit stitches. The play of colors comes straight from the ball of yarn. We get a wonderful poncho that no one else has. Quickly thrown on and keeps you nice and warm.



Endless Blanket
It is crocheted from one gradient yarn cake. We choose the colors. We always crochet around in a square. Every round is the same. Thanks to the front and back post stitches, the blanket has a lovely texture and a beautiful play of colors. You can crochet the blanket as large as you like or as far as your ball of yarn will go.

The individual parts of the Emmy Locomotive are very simple shapes that are easy to crochet while watching TV. You’ll need to pay a little more attention when sewing them together. But it’s worth it! The locomotive is just the right size for little dolls (about 10 cm tall, e.g. Playmobil figures) to ride along as passengers. Young children especially have a lot of fun playing with it. There are no sharp edges if they happen to “explore” it with their mouths, and no scratches if it gets thrown around wildly. And if it ends up in the sandbox, you can even wash it!
But you can also delight older train fans with this locomotive as a decorative piece.

My Diamant scarf is knitted with a simple lace pattern that is absolutely TV-friendly.
