In two weeks, it’s time again to say, “Let’s head to the Wies’n!” Crochet a guaranteed calorie-free Bavarian snack board from your leftover yarn, complete with everything that goes into a proper snack: pretzels, radishes, white sausages, and of course mustard! Isn’t this a great addition to a kids’ kitchen or a kids’ play store?

Finally, the weekend! Finally, time for crafts. Now that the days are getting longer again, it’s a great time to tackle a bigger project. And with my suggestion, you can use all your colorful leftover yarn. So you don’t have to buy anything extra—just take a look at what scraps you’ve accumulated. You can crochet a beautiful, colorful rug out of them. You decide the size yourself. It’ll be exactly as big as you want it to be.



But be careful: it’s a little addictive, and if you have enough yarn, it’ll just keep getting bigger and bigger. Either way, it’ll be one-of-a-kind! It’s a lot of fun to crochet because with every round, you get to think about which color will go best next. And its appearance changes from round to round. The back will be finished with a non-slip rug backing.

My shawl "Frühlingsbote" is a relaxing project, since it is knitted using only 2 patterns, and these are described in detail and quick to understand.
It is knitted with 300 g of sock-weight yarn, but can easily be made smaller.

Think about fall already!
My quickly knitted Rakas cowl is knitted using only knit and purl stitches.
It only uses 150 g of yarn with a length of 200 m per 100 g, so it is finished quickly. It can be worn in many individual ways, as it is held together with a shawl pin; of course, it can also be partly sewn together if you only want to wear it a certain way.

Small scraps are perfect for crocheting a diaper for a doll (43–50 cm). Every little doll mom will be thrilled and will definitely want more of them.

The diaper is also very easy for toddlers to use, since it has Velcro closures.
