This “decorative ball/light-up ball” is something completely different. Whether on the Christmas tree or in the window, it’s sure to create a festive atmosphere in any room.

Click here to go directly to the pattern:

Materials per ball:
  • Approx. 13 g cotton yarn, 125 m/50 g (e.g., Catania)
  • Crochet hook size 2.5 or 3 (example here = size 2.5)
  • Wood glue (e.g., Ponal brand) ← my recommendation;
alternatively, fabric stiffener, liquid laundry starch, or spray starch
  • 1 small balloon
  • 1 LED light (optional)
  • At least 6 beads (optional)
  • Blocking tools (rubber mat, pins, etc.)

It’s definitely still too early to get into the Christmas spirit, but when the time comes, you’re usually too busy. So it definitely makes sense to start crafting a few Christmas tree ornaments now.

The baubles shown are about 7 cm in size, easy to recreate, and well-suited even for beginners with some crafting experience. In addition to photo cardstock, they can also be made very well using decorative papers that are slightly thinner.

No money for new Christmas tree decorations? No problem, because you can crochet them from your leftover yarn!

Whether crocheted with glitter yarn or simple cotton yarn: these Christmas tree decorations always look elegant. With the pattern, you can create 4 different models: a star, a snowflake, a little bell, and an angel.

For many people, a little moose  is simply part of the Christmas season. But that also makes him perfect as a Christmas tree decoration! The moose is quick to crochet and can also be used as a keychain.

The quick angel  really is quick to crochet. Crochet lots of little colorful angels for your Christmas tree or use them to decorate your gift packages!

If you prefer something less stylized, you can also crochet these little music angels as Christmas tree decorations. They look especially cute when they all have the same little dress but different instruments.

A star gnome at the top of the Christmas tree is something a little different. You can also string lots of star gnomes together into a garland.

What would Christmas be without the ringing of bells?
Bells are an essential part of Christmas—even as Christmas tree ornaments!

These delicate little bells are about 7 cm tall, made from photo cardstock, and are very well suited even for beginners with little crafting experience.

These Christmas stars are quick and easy to crochet, even for beginners. Scraps of yarn are more than enough for this project. The stars can be hung on the tree—or on a gift—and also make lovely table decorations.

Little fir trees are also a must-have for Christmas decorations. When crafted in a delicate style, they make for beautiful Christmas tree ornaments.

The little fir trees shown are about 7 cm tall. They’re also very well suited for beginners with some crafting experience.

1) These cute little wing bags with mouse passengers can be filled wonderfully as Advent calendars—or simply used as Advent and Christmas decorations on the tree, Advent wreath, etc.
Here’s the pattern

2) The snowflakes “Neve” and “Jule” are also great decorations for the Advent wreath and wonderfully suited as tree ornaments—you can combine the little snowflakes beautifully or use them individually. They are available to buy as a value set or individually.
Here’s the pattern

3) Sweet angels—under the angels’ little skirts you can wonderfully hide small gifts, and with an LED tea light underneath they glow magically and cozily when it gets dark outside. Also lovely on the Christmas tree.
Here’s the pattern

4) Angel “Lovely” — these sweet little angels with their embroiderable skirts will enchant your loved ones as well as your home. Thanks to the detailed description including a crochet chart, they are quick and easy to crochet. Great as ornaments for the Christmas tree.

Here’s the pattern

5) Sweet little bells with bows in 2 sizes each—pretty decorations for the Advent wreath or Christmas tree, an extra with Christmas mail, table décor, etc.
Here’s the pattern

6) Angels in 3 sizes—pretty decorations for the Advent wreath or Christmas tree, an extra with Christmas mail, table décor, etc.
Here’s the pattern

7) Stars—the shooting star is made using a combination of Tunisian and traditional crochet. A regular crochet hook without a thick handle is sufficient.
Here’s the pattern

8)  Sweet wing in three sizes—Tunisian crocheted; a regular crochet hook is enough.
Here’s the pattern

9) Beautiful angel wings / wings in shabby chic —
the wings are quick to crochet and perfect for using up leftover yarn. The front and back of each individual wing half are crocheted in one go.
Here’s the pattern

10) The angel wings “Romantica” also involve a bit of Tunisian crochet again—but it works with a regular crochet hook.
Here’s the pattern:

11)  Also quick to make and very decorative on the Christmas tree are these lovely little bells.

If you prefer your Christmas tree ornaments to be a little less colorful, you’re sure to like this version.

The ornaments shown are mainly made of corrugated cardboard and measure approximately 8 x 7 x 5 cm. They’re easy to make and well-suited even for beginners.
