Origami = the art of paper folding

Dear users, dear authors,
which of you are familiar with / like origami?

Hey Josefa,

I really like origami. These different folding techniques are truly fascinating—there are so many possibilities.
Sometimes it’s really hard to choose. I often need little things for greeting cards—like a heart or a four-leaf clover—or small gift bags, boxes, or packaging for little good-luck charms.
The variety is sooooo vast, and it’s really fun.

I’m not very good at it. Everything I fold ends up looking a bit wonky.

I’ve tried various money gifts, but I wasn’t satisfied with the results.

I’ve given up and don’t fold anything anymore except little boats for my grandson. 

I used to do that. It was always part of the summer camp program, so I bought two books from the woman who taught it. I enjoyed folding flowers.

I love origami! But there have been more than a few times when I’ve had to give up on a figure because I just couldn’t make sense of the diagrams! Of course, I also really love the beautiful floral and ornamental origami papers.

Well, I often have trouble with origami instructions, too. I just don’t have a good sense of spatial awareness. I’ve tried it with my granddaughter several times and have had to give up more often than not. 

I like origami—I even have a Japanese origami book.

So far, though, I still haven’t managed to understand even remotely the written instructions.
So I work from the diagrams.
