Bind Off in Crochet

Dear users, dear authors,
Is binding off in crochet really that simple because there’s only one stitch on the hook? Do you just pull the yarn all the way through once, leave a few centimeters, cut it, and weave in the ends? Is that all it takes?

After making the last crochet stitch, cut the yarn to about 10 cm, then pull the yarn through the last loop again and pull it tight. I personally weave in the ends at that point. You don’t want your beautiful handiwork to come undone.
