Fleece Fabric / Fleece Yarn

Dear users, dear authors,
what exactly is fleece fabric and what is fleece yarn? What is the difference compared to, for example, cotton fabric or cotton / animal wool?

Does anyone have anything to say on this topic?

Fleece is a fabric that is usually produced as a knitted fabric and is used exclusively for clothing; it keeps you nice and warm and isn’t too heavy. With fleece yarn, the fibers are spun into a thread to make yarn, which is then knitted. These *fabrics* are usually made from synthetic fibers.
Cotton is a plant-based fiber that is breathable and is processed both as yarn and as fabric.
Animal wool usually comes from sheep, but also from alpaca and camel hair; these fibers can be used to make very versatile yarns and textiles.
